Cookie Policy — Lord of Tokens
Last updated: 15 May 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") describes the cookies and similar tracking technologies (the "Cookies") used on the website https://lordoftokens.com/ and within the online game Lord of Tokens (together, the "Services"), the purposes for which they are used, and the means available to manage your choices.
The Services are published by MAKETOOLS SAS, société par actions simplifiée, registered office: 149 avenue du Maine, 75014 Paris, France, RCS Paris 990 247 603.
This Policy complements the Privacy Policy, which describes more generally the processing of personal data carried out via the Services. It is issued in compliance with:
- Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 (transposing Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, known as the "ePrivacy Directive");
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR);
- the recommendations and guidelines of the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés ("CNIL"), in particular its guidelines and recommendation of 17 September 2020 on cookies and other trackers.
2. What is a Cookie?
A Cookie is a small text file deposited on your terminal (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website or use an online service. It allows the issuer of the Cookie to recognise the terminal, store information relating to your navigation, and, where applicable, personalise the content shown to you.
This Policy also covers other tracking technologies whose effect is equivalent to that of cookies, in particular: local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), pixels, web beacons, identifiers stored in the browser fingerprint, software development kits (SDKs) and other tracers.
For the sake of simplicity, the term "Cookies" used in this Policy covers all of these technologies.
3. Categories of Cookies Used
The Services use four (4) categories of Cookies:
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These Cookies are essential for the Services to function. They allow you, in particular, to:
- log in to your Account and remain authenticated;
- ensure the security of the Services and prevent fraud;
- remember the choices you have made (in particular, your Cookie preferences);
- balance the load on our servers and ensure technical operation.
These Cookies do not require your consent, in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act. You cannot refuse them without affecting the proper functioning of the Services. The legal basis for their deposit is the legitimate interest of MAKETOOLS in providing the Services that you have requested.
3.2 Analytics / Measurement Cookies
These Cookies allow us to measure the audience of the Services, analyse navigation and use of the Game, identify malfunctions, and improve the user experience. They generate statistics on the number of visitors, the most consulted pages or screens, the time spent on each page, the device used, etc.
These Cookies are deposited only with your consent.
3.3 Advertising and Marketing Cookies
These Cookies allow us, our advertising partners and intermediaries (ad servers, ad exchanges, attribution providers) to:
- display personalised advertisements based on your interests and your browsing;
- measure the performance of advertising campaigns and the return on investment of our advertising actions;
- limit the number of times you see the same advertisement;
- carry out retargeting actions on third-party websites.
These Cookies are deposited only with your consent.
In accordance with Article 28, paragraph 2 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act), advertising Cookies producing personalised advertising are not deposited on the terminals of Players whom we know or have reasonable grounds to believe to be minors (under 18). For these Players, only contextual advertising (without profiling) is displayed.
3.4 A/B Testing and Session Recording Cookies
These Cookies allow us to:
- test different versions of pages or features of the Services in order to determine those that work best (A/B testing);
- record, in whole or in part, browsing sessions on the Services in order to understand interactions, identify points of friction and improve the user experience.
Session recording is configured to mask or exclude sensitive information (in particular passwords and payment data). Where applicable, this configuration is documented by the relevant tool provider.
These Cookies are deposited only with your consent.
4. Detailed List of Cookies
The detailed list of Cookies actually deposited on your terminal, with the name, issuer, purpose and lifetime of each Cookie, is accessible at any time via the consent management module accessible at the bottom of the Website or via your Account settings.
The main categories of issuers concerned are:

The data collected via Cookies is retained for a maximum period of twenty-five (25) months.
Your choices (consent or refusal) are themselves retained for a period of six (6) months, after which they are requested again.

When you first visit the Website, a consent banner allows you to:
